My name is Viki, and I have been teaching Hungarian to foreigners for years, primarily to Japanese residents in Budapest. I endeavored to teach using more traditional methods, which I myself was familiar with from my own language learning experience. Throughout my language learning and teaching journey, I have met with various language learning methods, some more effective than others. However, one of the most enjoyable experiences was learning Spanish, not through traditional language courses, but through a ceramics workshop in Spain while we were living there.
During the ceramics sessions, I found myself engaged in lively conversations with Spanish participants, gradually improving my language skills while thoroughly enjoying the process of crafting with clay. This experience sparked the idea that others might also enjoy learning languages through similar hands-on methods. After all, this approach has proven to be highly effective and much more enjoyable than sitting in a classroom.
So, what do you think? Would you be interested in giving it a try? We believe that combining language learning with creative activities like clay crafting can make the learning process not only effective but also incredibly fun. Join us at ASOBI and embark on a unique language learning journey where conversation and creativity go hand in hand!
